Where to Stay in Roi Et: Lake and Town Centre

Roi Et is a compact town built around a lake, Bueng Phlan Chai, with the Roi Et Tower beside it and Wat Burapha Phiram a short ride away. The big chedi, Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon, is outside town, so most visitors sleep in the centre and make it a half-day trip. This page splits the town into two areas: right by the lake, and the Rob Mueang (ring road) side.

1. Decide whether you want to be at the lake. M Grand Hotel says guests can walk to Bueng Phlan Chai and the Roi Et Tower. The Bed Hotel lists the lake at 1 km and Wat Burapha Phiram at 400 m, and HOP INN names the lake pavilion, the Roi Et Tower and a park as nearby.
2. Read distances as the hotels' own claims. HOP INN gives no address or distances in km on its page, and The Pool Hotel's site is a basic template page, so confirm the exact pin with each hotel before you pay.
3. Plan the big chedi as a day trip. The Bed Hotel's page lists Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkol at 77 km, so it is not a walk from any hotel here. Ask the hotel about a car or driver, and confirm the final rate with tax, parking and cancellation terms.

The Bed Hotel gives an address on Rob Mueang Road, lists Wat Burapha Phiram at 400 m, the National Museum at 650 m and the lake at 1 km, and offers a Standard room with free breakfast for two and an Executive room with a living room. HOP INN Roi Et names the lake pavilion, a pagoda, a park and the Roi Et Tower as nearby but gives no address on its chain page. The Pool Hotel gives an address at 3/9 Rob Mueang Road, serves breakfast, and says on its own site that there is no swimming-pool service.

Choose it if: You want a plain room at a lower cost and are happy to take a short ride or walk to the lake.

Skip it if: You want a pool, a lakeside walk from the door or hotel prices on the site.
