Where to Stay in Buriram: Stadium, Town, Nang Rong

Buriram has three very different bases. The sports zone beside Chang Arena and the circuits is where race and match weekends happen, the town centre has the city pillar shrine and the night market, and Nang Rong is the small town on the Phanom Rung side, far from both. This page sorts six hotels into those three areas so you can sleep near what you came for.

Use the quick answer above, then the area table. We show no hotel prices because rates change with date and room type, and the booking buttons open a search for your own dates. We have not stayed at any of these hotels. Every card shows facts taken from the hotel's own website and checked on 19 October 2026 after a separate verification pass, with the source linked. Six is fewer than we wanted: several other Buriram hotels have no official page our checker could read, so this is a checked list, not a complete one (see the FAQ).

How to choose

1. Decide what the trip is for. For a race or match, stay in the stadium and circuit zone: Amari says Thunder Castle Stadium is a two-minute walk, and Cresco says the circuit, Chang Arena and Buriram Castle mall are about 800 m away. For a quiet night in town, pick the town centre. For Phanom Rung, Phanomrung Puri says it is within 20 km of the park.
2. Read the distances as the hotels' own claims. B2 lists the circuit at 9.2 km and Phanom Rung National Park at 65.6 km from its town-centre pin, while Phanomrung Puri's attractions page and contact page spell its road differently. Treat every figure as a hint and open the map pin before you book.
3. Most of these hotels suit people with a car or a booked taxi. Modena gives 37 km to Buriram Airport and HOP INN gives 30 to 40 minutes by car, so ask the hotel what transport it arranges, book early for race and match weekends, and confirm the final rate with tax, parking and cancellation terms.

Three hotels on this list are in or beside the sports zone. Amari Buriram United says it is a two-minute walk from Thunder Castle Stadium, lists 60 rooms with balconies, a pool and fitness centre, and says the circuit next door hosts MotoGP and SuperGT. Modena by Fraser Buriram says it sits beside the Chang International Racing Circuit and Chang Arena and has 152 serviced residences. Cresco Hotel lists 40 rooms, an outdoor pool and a restaurant and says it is about 800 m from the circuit, Chang Arena and Buriram Castle mall.

Choose it if: You are going to a race or match and want to walk or take a very short ride.

Skip it if: You want a quiet town base or an early start at Phanom Rung.

Mistake to avoid: Do not book late for a race or match weekend; HOP INN's own FAQ warns that events and matches raise demand.

Two hotels on this list are in the town centre. B2 Buriram Boutique and Budget Hotel lists 59 rooms in four categories, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi, says it is near the ancient Lalom Canal, and gives the circuit at 9.2 km. HOP INN Buriram calls itself a budget hotel near Buriram United Stadium, says it is near the city centre with markets and restaurants close by, and gives check-in from 14:00 and check-out by 12:00 (chain wording).

Choose it if: You want a low-cost room in town and will take a taxi or car to the sports zone.

Skip it if: You want to walk to the stadium or the circuit.

Mistake to avoid: Do not assume the circuit is walkable; B2's own list puts it at 9.2 km.

One hotel on this list is at Nang Rong. Phanomrung Puri lists 66 rooms blending local lower-northeastern art and Khmer style, Barai Restaurant, a pool beside the dining area, and a Duplex Family Room of 42 square meters. Its attractions page says it is within 20 km of Phanom Rung Historical Park and names Muang Tam, Khao Kradong and Thunder Castle Stadium as other sights. Its attractions page gives the road as Prachantaket Rd and its contact page gives Nangrong-Lamplaimat Rd, so check the map pin.

Choose it if: You have a car and want Phanom Rung and Muang Tam close, with a Khmer-style hotel and a pool.

Skip it if: You are going to a race or match, or rely on public transport.

Mistake to avoid: Do not use Nang Rong as a base for a match weekend; it is far from the stadium zone.

Hotels give their own airport figures: Amari lists Buriram Airport at 30 minutes and the railway station at 10 minutes, HOP INN says about 30 to 40 minutes by car from the airport, and Modena gives 37 km and offers airport transfers with its hotel van. Those are the hotels' claims, so check the operator, departure point and last service before you book.
