Quick answer: where to stay in Prachuap Khiri Khan?

Choose an area first, then check the live rate for your dates.

Disclosure: we are an affiliate partner of travel booking sites, but these links currently open the providers' own sites and earn us nothing yet.

Prachuap Khiri Khan province is long and narrow, and the places worth staying are far apart. This page covers the part south of the Hua Hin resort strip: Prachuap Khiri Khan town on its bay, the Pranburi and Pak Nam Pran coast, the beach beside Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, and Rumra Beach near Ban Krut. Where you sleep decides whether your morning is a walk up a monkey hill, a hike to Phraya Nakhon Cave or a quiet beach. For Hua Hin town itself, read our Hua Hin guide. This page compares four areas and 8 hotels.

Use the quick answer above, then the area table. We show no hotel prices because rates change with dates and room type, and the booking buttons open a search for your own dates. We have not stayed at any of these hotels. Every card shows facts taken from the hotel's own website and checked on 16 October 2026 after a separate verification pass, with the source linked. Several hotels in the province have no website we could read, so this is a checked list, not a complete one.

How to choose

  1. Start with the plan, not the room. For the cave and the national park, sleep at Sam Roi Yot: La Isla says it is 1.9 km from Phraya Nakhon Cave. For the bay, the monkey hill and the night market on foot, sleep in Prachuap Khiri Khan town. For a quiet beach near Hua Hin without the strip, choose Pranburi. For a long empty beach, go south to Ban Krut.
  2. Check how you will arrive. Praseban Resort says train or bus travel still needs a car or taxi at the end, Varinah Resort offers a shuttle to nearby attractions without a price on its home page, and Sunshine Paradise Resort says the nearest town is a five-minute drive. In this province a hotel without transport is a long walk from everything.
  3. Check the room type and the rules. Praseban does not allow pets, Dolphin Bay says its rooms have no telephones and offers Line and WhatsApp, and Purimuntra shows two different address numbers on its own site, so confirm the location with the hotel before you arrange a transfer.

Day trips and planning in Prachuap Khiri Khan

We have no registered tour listing for Prachuap Khiri Khan yet, so we show no tour prices. The button opens Klook's own search for Prachuap Khiri Khan, which currently earns us nothing, and results may be limited. Several resorts here arrange cave boats, kayaking or park visits, so ask your hotel first.

Getting to Prachuap Khiri Khan

Prachuap Khiri Khan is reached from Bangkok by train, van, bus or taxi. On 16 October 2026 the 12Go page for an 18 October search listed 63 trips for 2 travellers: trains (9 listed), vans (5), buses (7) and taxis (42); these figures are what the page showed that day, not a promise. Drop-off points vary, and some taxis listed Khao Sam Roi Yot park or Kui Buri as the arrival point, so check the arrival point, the operator and the last departure before you book. Our Prachuap Khiri Khan guide covers the cave, the bays and the elephants.

Affiliate disclosure: these links may earn us a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we write.

Before you book

  • Open the map link for the area and then check the hotel's exact pin. A neighbourhood name can cover a wide area.
  • Check the final rate with tax, payment timing, cancellation terms and what the room includes.
  • If arriving late, confirm the check-in method and the last transport that actually runs.
  • Distances are long. Wikipedia gives the province as about 240 km south of Bangkok, and Wikivoyage says Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is reached off Phet Kasem Road and has no public transport inside it. Plan on a car, a hotel transfer or a hired driver between the areas.
  • Wikivoyage lists a 200 baht foreign adult entry fee for Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and a boat to the Phraya Nakhon Cave trailhead as a seasonal service. Both come from that page, not from an official source, so check with the park or your hotel before you go.

FAQ

Where should I stay for Phraya Nakhon Cave?

At Sam Roi Yot. La Isla Pranburi Beach Resort says it is 1.9 km from Phraya Nakhon Cave and 30 km from Hua Hin, and Dolphin Bay and Varinah both place themselves beside Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. Wikivoyage says the cave is reached by a hike or a seasonal boat, so ask the hotel about boat times.

Is Hua Hin part of Prachuap Khiri Khan?

Yes. Wikipedia lists Hua Hin as a district of the province and its best-known beach resort. This page covers the hotels south of the Hua Hin resort strip; our Hua Hin guide covers the resort town.

Where should I stay in Prachuap Khiri Khan town?

Prachuap Grand Hotel says it is in the prime touristic area of the city centre, with 137 rooms, a pool and a restaurant. Wikivoyage describes the town as small enough to get around on foot, with the night market, the bay and the monkey hill nearby.

Which hotel is best for families?

It depends on the age of the children. La Isla lists a Kids Club, Dolphin Bay lists family rooms, kitchenette apartments and a playground, and Sunshine Paradise lists a playground for children aged 4 to 12 and a kids pool. Check the exact room type on each hotel's own page.

Can I get there without a car?

Partly. The 12Go page listed trains, vans, buses and taxis from Bangkok on 16 October 2026, but Praseban says train or bus travel still needs a car or taxi at the end, and Wikivoyage says there is no public transport inside Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. Ask your hotel about transfers before you book.

Is this list complete?

No. We only list hotels whose own websites we could read and check on 16 October 2026. Several well-known places in Pranburi, Bang Saphan and Ban Krut block automated reading or have no official site, so they are not here.
