Nakhon Nayok is the province that fills up with Bangkok weekenders: the wooded north side of the Khao Yai mountains, a string of waterfalls, a big dam and a river that runs through the middle. The town itself is small, and most places to stay are resorts out along the roads to the waterfalls. This page groups nine of them into four areas by the address each hotel gives, plus one hotel that does not state a location.

Use the quick answer above, then the area table. We show no hotel prices because rates change with dates and room type, and the booking buttons open a search for your own dates. We have not stayed at any of these hotels. Every card shows facts taken from the hotel's own website and checked on 16 October 2026 after a separate verification pass, with the source linked. Many Nakhon Nayok guesthouses sell only through Facebook pages or booking sites, and a few official sites no longer load, so this is a checked list, not a complete one.

How to choose

  1. Decide whether you want the waterfalls or the road. Sarika and the Wang Takhrai road put you near the Sarika and Wang Takhrai waterfalls; Hin Tung puts you at Kaeng Sam Chan, the dam and Nang Rong waterfall. Ban Na is a separate district with its resort at km 63 of the Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok road, so check the drive to the falls on the map.
  2. Plan for a car. Every hotel on this list is a resort, and none of its sites describes a walk to a shop or restaurant. The 12Go route page we read is for Nakhon Nayok in general, so ask your resort how to get from the drop-off point to its gate.
  3. Check what the resort sells besides rooms. Several sites list rafting, ATV rides or BB-gun ranges, and large groups are common at weekends and holidays. If you want quiet, ask about weekend events and which zone of the resort is furthest from the activity area.

Three resorts give Sarika addresses. Royal Hills Golf Resort & Spa is on Sarika-Nang Rong Road beside Khao Yai National Park, Rimtan Resort is on the Nakhon Nayok-Wang Takrai Road and says it is 500 metres from Wang Takhrai waterfall, and @Rice Resort says it is close to Wang Takrai Park, Nang Rong, Sarika and the Khun Dan Prakan Chon dam. The provincial office page says Sarika waterfall opens daily 8:00 to 17:00 at the national-park rate, which we have not rechecked at the gate.

Choose it if: You want to be near the waterfalls, or you play golf.

Skip it if: You want to walk to a restaurant or to the town.

Mistake to avoid: Do not assume the three are side by side; check each address on the map, and confirm the entry fees on the day.

Phumontra Resort and The Chill Resort give Hin Tung addresses. Phumontra says it sits on the Nakhon Nayok River at Kaeng Sam Chan with rooms, villas and a seminar building, and The Chill Resort says it has 32 rooms in 15 designs and a private stretch of rapids. Sida Activity Resort says it is next to Nang Rong waterfall, with a pool, sauna and farm. The provincial office page says Kaeng Sam Chan opens daily 7:00 to 18:30 and charges per car, and that extra water is released below the dam on weekends and festivals.

Choose it if: You want to be on the river, near the dam, or have a group with you.

Skip it if: You want a very quiet stay at weekends.

Mistake to avoid: Do not treat the dam water release as a rule; the provincial page says it is done for weekends and festivals, so check before you plan a swim.

Wangree Resort gives its office address in Khao Phra subdistrict and says its land of more than 500 rai connects with Khao Yai National Park, with a natural waterfall stream running through it. It says it has a large pool, a salt sauna it calls the first and only one in Thailand, and room types Standard, Superior, Bungalows and Deluxe. It says dogs and cats may come and lists a nightly fee per animal.

Choose it if: You are bringing a dog or want a big estate that touches the national park.

Skip it if: You want to be close to Sarika, Nang Rong or the dam.

Day trips and planning from Nakhon Nayok

We have no registered tour listing for Nakhon Nayok yet, so we show no tour prices. The button opens Klook's own search for Nakhon Nayok, which currently earns us nothing, and results may be limited. Several resorts here sell their own rafting and ATV trips, so ask your hotel first.

Disclosure: we are an affiliate partner of travel booking sites, but these links currently open the providers' own sites and earn us nothing yet.

Getting to Nakhon Nayok

Nakhon Nayok is about 105 km from Bangkok by road according to Thai Wikipedia. The button opens the 12Go Bangkok to Nakhon Nayok page, which on 16 October 2026 listed the route by bus and taxi, with Andaman Taxis, Chainattour, Kim Transfers, NNS Luxury Limousine and Thailand Limo by Datum among the operators, and 14 departures a day from 6:20 AM to 7:20 PM. The page also showed a 9 km distance and a 10-minute fastest time, which cannot be right for this route, so we do not quote them or any fare. Check the arrival point and ask your resort how to reach it from there, because the resorts are spread along the roads to the waterfalls and the dam.

Affiliate disclosure: these links may earn us a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we write.

Before you book

  • Open the map link for the area and then check the hotel's exact pin. A neighbourhood name can cover a wide area.
  • Check the final rate with tax, payment timing, cancellation terms and what the room includes.
  • If arriving late, confirm the check-in method and the last transport that actually runs.
  • Several of these sites are old. Royal Hills shows 2016 to 2017 notices, The Chill Resort's news is mostly from 2016 to 2017, Wangree's footer reads 2021 and Villa Panalai's reads 2023. Confirm current rooms, rates and policies by phone or message before you book a non-refundable room.
  • Opening hours and fees at the waterfalls are on the provincial office pages we link, which are not dated, so check on the day. Those pages say Sarika is charged at the national park rate, while Nang Rong and Kaeng Sam Chan charge per vehicle.

FAQ

Where should first-time visitors stay in Nakhon Nayok?

For the waterfalls, start with Sarika: @Rice Resort says it is close to Wang Takrai Park, Nang Rong, Sarika and the Khun Dan Prakan Chon dam, and Rimtan Resort says it is 500 metres from Wang Takhrai waterfall. For the river and the dam, look at Phumontra Resort or The Chill Resort in Hin Tung.

Is there a hotel in Nakhon Nayok town on this list?

No. The town has hotels, but the ones we found either sell only through Facebook or booking sites, or had no official site we could read. We only list hotels whose own website we could open and quote.

Do I need a car in Nakhon Nayok?

Almost certainly. The provincial office describes the waterfalls and the dam as reached by highway 3049 and its side roads, and none of the nine resort sites describes a walk to shops. Ask your resort how to get from the bus or taxi drop-off to its gate.

Which area is closest to the waterfalls?

Sarika and the Wang Takhrai road, and Hin Tung. Rimtan Resort says it is 500 metres from Wang Takhrai waterfall and next to Kaeng Sam Chan, and Sida says it is next to Nang Rong waterfall. Hin Tung is also where the Khun Dan Prakan Chon dam is.

Can I bring a dog?

Wangree Resort says its resort is pet friendly and lists a nightly fee per animal, so ask before you book. We did not find a pet policy on the other eight sites we read.

Can I go golfing here?

Royal Hills Golf Resort & Spa says it is an 18-hole championship course on the edge of Khao Yai National Park. Its site tells guests to book ahead and to phone for rooms.

Is there a hotel for a big group or a school camp?

Sida Activity Resort says it has meeting rooms for 30 to 1,500 people and a farm, a pool and a sauna. Phumontra says its seminar building holds more than 200, and Tara Chonlapruek lists small, medium and large seminar rooms.

Why are some well-known Nakhon Nayok resorts not listed?

We only list hotels whose own website we could open and quote. Several hotels in the province sell only through Facebook pages, and a few official sites no longer load, so we left them out rather than guess.
