Prachinburi province lies east of Bangkok towards the Cambodian border, and its hotels are spread over four quite different areas. Around Noen Hom and the provincial town, five of our hotels sit on the Prachinburi-Khao Yai road or in the town and use the southern gate of Khao Yai National Park. In Si Maha Phot, south of the town, two larger resorts give addresses on the way up from Bangkok. In Na Di, two activity resorts sit near the Kaeng Hin Phoeng rapids and the Thap Lan side of the forest. In Kabin Buri and Prachantakham, three hotels sit on the road east and north-east or on the way to the waterfalls.

Use the quick answer above, then the area table. We show no hotel prices because rates change with dates and room type, and the booking buttons open a search for your own dates. We have not stayed at any of these hotels. Every card shows facts taken from the hotel's own website and checked on 16 October 2026 after a separate verification pass, with the source linked. Facts we could not re-find on the site were removed. Many small guesthouses and farm stays in the province have no website of their own, so this is a checked list, not a complete one.

How to choose

  1. Decide first whether Khao Yai is the point. The Khao Yai guide describes the Noen Hom visitor centre in Prachinburi as one of the two places where park fees are paid, and the park road runs through to Pak Chong. One hotel here, B&B Foresthill, says it sits next to the southern entrance gate, which it calls almost non touristic. If Khao Yai matters, stay in the Noen Hom area; if you only want a quiet provincial base, any area works.
  2. Pick the rest of the stay by season. Kaeng Hin Phoeng rafting is a rainy-season activity: TAT says June to October, the two Na Di resorts here say July to October, and Wikivoyage says July to November. Outside that window the rapids become a rock terrace, so Na Di suits the rafting months best.
  3. Plan to have a car. Bus and rail reach Prachinburi town, but most resorts in this list are out of town on the Khao Yai road, in Na Di or in Prachantakham. Hotels give about 140 km and 1.5 to just over 2 hours by car from Bangkok. Check the final rate with tax, breakfast and cancellation terms, and ask pet owners to confirm the room type in writing.

Five hotels here put themselves in the town or Noen Hom. iRabbit is in the town centre near the fresh market. Myrrh, Siamdasada, PRY1 and B&B Foresthill all give Noen Hom addresses, and Foresthill says it is next to the southern entrance gate of Khao Yai National Park. Siamdasada says its 800 rai estate is near the Noen Hom entrance, and PRY1 says every room has a Khao Yai view and a bike stand.

Choose it if: You want to enter Khao Yai from the quieter Prachinburi side, or you want pet-friendly rooms.

Skip it if: You want waterfalls and rafting to be your first stop; Na Di is closer.

Mistake to avoid: Do not assume the hotel is walkable to the park gate; ask for the driving time and check the map pin.

Tawa Ravadee Resort and The Garden 304 both give Si Maha Phot addresses. Tawa Ravadee says it is about 140 km from Bangkok, around 1 hour 30 minutes by car, and describes U-shaped Thai-style buildings around a waterfall courtyard, a fitness room and a driving range. The Garden 304 lists studio and one-bedroom room types, a garden pool and a restaurant using vegetables from its farm in Pak Chong.

Saksupha gives a Saphan Hin, Na Di address and sells Kaeng Hin Phoeng rafting packages. Pungluang says it covers about 200 rai near the rapids and Khao Yai National Park, allows pets under its rules, and says rafting is possible only in the rainy season, July to October. TAT says Kaeng Hin Phoeng rafting is organised by local resorts in Na Di. Thap Lan National Park's headquarters is in Bu Phram, Na Di, per Wikipedia.

Choose it if: You are coming for rafting between July and October, or you want an activity weekend with a group.

Skip it if: You want a quiet room with a view and do not want a busy activity resort.

Mistake to avoid: Do not book for the rafting outside the rainy season; the rapids become a rock terrace afterwards.

Day trips and planning from Prachinburi

We have no registered tour listing for Prachinburi yet, so we show no tour prices. The button opens Klook's own search for Prachinburi, which currently earns us nothing, and the results may be limited. Rafting at Kaeng Hin Phoeng is sold by the local resorts in Na Di, so ask your resort first.

Getting to Prachinburi

Prachinburi is reached by road or by the Eastern Line train. The button opens the 12Go Bangkok to Prachin Buri page; when we opened it in a browser on 16 October 2026 for 18 October with two travellers it listed 19 trips, all taxis, from THB 2,025 to 5,625 (Than Car Service and Thailand Limo by Datum), with no bus or train shown there. Prices change daily. Our Prachinburi guide covers the Transport Company bus and the train from the other sources.

Affiliate disclosure: these links may earn us a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we write.

Before you book

  • Open the map link for the area and then check the hotel's exact pin. A neighbourhood name can cover a wide area.
  • Check the final rate with tax, payment timing, cancellation terms and what the room includes.
  • If arriving late, confirm the check-in method and the last transport that actually runs.
  • Rafting at Kaeng Hin Phoeng depends on the rainy season and the water level, and some resorts publish the level day by day. Ask your resort whether the rapids are open on your dates before you pay for a package.
  • Some pages we read are dated. Saksupha's news item is from 2025 and Kantary still shows pandemic-era service notes, so confirm facilities, opening days and any seasonal programme by phone or message before you travel.

FAQ

Where should I stay in Prachinburi if I want Khao Yai?

Look at the Noen Hom area on the Prachinburi-Khao Yai road. B&B Foresthill says it is next to the southern entrance gate of Khao Yai National Park, Siamdasada says it is near the Noen Hom entrance, and PRY1 and Myrrh give Noen Hom addresses. Our Khao Yai guide has the park's own hours and fee notes.

Is there a train to Prachinburi?

Yes. Wikipedia says Prachin Buri railway station on the State Railway of Thailand's Eastern Line is 122 km from Bangkok, with five trains a day in each direction, and Wikivoyage lists four daily trains and gives departure times. Timetables change, so check the State Railway of Thailand before you plan around a time.

Is there a bus from Bangkok?

Wikivoyage says the Transport Company runs buses from Bangkok's Mo Chit 2 (Northeastern) bus terminal to Prachinburi many times a day, taking about 2 hours. It also gives older fares and times, which we did not re-check, so confirm with the operator. The 12Go page we opened listed only taxis for this route.

How far is Prachinburi from Bangkok by car?

Hotels give about 140 km: Tawa Ravadee says 1 hour 30 minutes and Siamdasada says just over two hours. Wikivoyage describes routes of roughly 132 to 164 km depending on the road. Traffic on the Highway 304 and 33 corridors decides the real time.

When can I go rafting at Kaeng Hin Phoeng?

Sources differ by a month at each end. TAT says only during the rainy season, from June to October; Pungluang and Wikivoyage give July to October and July to November. The rapids are a rock terrace afterwards. Ask your resort for the current water level.

Can I take my dog?

Some hotels allow pets under conditions. PRY1 says all its rooms are pet-friendly, Myrrh marks its house types pet-friendly, Siamdasada accepts pets in selected rooms and areas, and Pungluang allows pets under its rules. Khao Yai National Park itself lists no pets among its rules, so do not plan to bring a pet into the park.

Why are there only 12 hotels here?

We include only hotels with an official site we could fetch and whose facts we could re-find on that site. Other Prachinburi resorts we looked at, such as Nhapha Khao Yai Resort, are in Nakhon Ratchasima province, not Prachinburi, and several small stays appear only on booking sites or Facebook, which we do not use as a source.
