Saraburi sits on the road from Bangkok to the northeast, and the sights are spread out: the temple town to the north, the city and Namtok Sam Lan in the middle, the botanical garden and cave carvings in Kaeng Khoi and the waterfalls and dairy farm at Muak Lek. This page sorts hotels into five areas so you can sleep near the part of the province you came for.

Use the quick answer above, then the area table. We show no hotel prices because rates change with date and room type, and the booking buttons open a search for your own dates. We have not stayed at any of these hotels. Every card shows facts taken from the hotel's own website and checked on 17 October 2026 after a separate verification pass, with the source linked. Facts we could not re-find on the site were removed. Several resorts we tried, including Muaklek Paradise, Raikusuma and Sir James, had no official page our checker could read, so this is a checked list, not a complete one (see the FAQ).

How to choose

  1. Decide which part of the province is your main plan. For Wat Phra Phutthabat, look at the temple area or Kaeng Khoi: PS Hotel says it is 1.5 km from the temple and The Soul says it is 29 km (20 minutes by car). For Namtok Sam Lan, Wat Phra Phutthachai and train access, stay in the city. For Chet Sao Noi and the dairy farm, stay at Muak Lek.
  2. Read the distances as the hotels' own claims. Leelawadee calls itself both Mueang Saraburi and near Kaeng Khoi, Panngern Panthong prints two house numbers for one hotel, and Mela Garden's contact page shows a Nakhon Ratchasima postcode while describing a place between Pak Chong and Muak Lek. Treat every figure as a hint and open the map pin before you book.
  3. Most of these hotels suit people with a car. We found no public transport from the stations to the sights, so ask the hotel what it arranges, and confirm the final rate with tax, parking and cancellation terms.

Drive; PS Hotel's own site says it is on Phahonyothin Road and 1.5 km from the temple

One hotel on this list is in the temple area. PS Hotel gives an address on Phahonyothin Road, says it is only 1.5 km from Wat Phra Phutthabat, lists standard twin, double and triple rooms and a 24-hour front desk, and describes itself as a good stop for drivers heading north or to the northeast. Its home page shows no pool or restaurant details. The Soul Mindfulness Resort, listed under Kaeng Khoi, says the temple is a 20 minute drive (29 km) from its own gate.

Choose it if: You want to be at Wat Phra Phutthabat soon after it opens and are happy with a plain room.

Skip it if: You want a pool, a restaurant on site or the waterfalls as your main plan.

Mistake to avoid: Do not assume the hotel has a pool or restaurant; its home page does not say so.

Day trips and planning from Saraburi

We have no registered tour listing for Saraburi yet, so we show no tour prices. The button opens Klook's own search, which currently earns us nothing, and results may be limited. Ask your hotel first, since some arrange day trips themselves.

Getting to Saraburi

Most visitors reach Saraburi by train, van, bus or car. When our team opened the 12Go Bangkok to Saraburi page in a browser on 16 October 2026 for 18 October and 2 travellers, it showed 31 departures: 17 trains from 80 baht, 2 buses from 408 baht and 12 taxis from 1,840 baht. That is what the page showed that day, not a guarantee, so check the operator, departure point and last service before you book. Our getting-there guide covers the stations, the roads and the distances between the sights.

Affiliate disclosure: these links may earn us a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we write.

Before you book

  • Open the map link for the area and then check the hotel's exact pin. A neighbourhood name can cover a wide area.
  • Check the final rate with tax, payment timing, cancellation terms and what the room includes.
  • If arriving late, confirm the check-in method and the last transport that actually runs.
  • Do not trust one number for the distance to Bangkok. Leelawadee says 120 km, other pages give 100 or 108 km for the town centre, so check the map pin.
  • Naam Ma Laew's own page says its stream has water only in the rainy season, so ask about the view before you choose it for the cool season.
  • Mela Garden and Tipchewa are on or near the border with Nakhon Ratchasima; check which side of the line the pin is on.

FAQ

Where should first-time visitors stay in Saraburi?

Stay near the part of the province you came for. For Wat Phra Phutthabat choose PS Hotel in the temple area or The Soul in Kaeng Khoi, for the city and Namtok Sam Lan choose HOP INN or Leelawadee, and for the waterfalls and dairy farm choose Muak Lek. The cards show what each hotel says on its own site.

Is there a hotel near Wat Phra Phutthabat?

PS Hotel says on its own home page that it is only 1.5 km from the temple, and The Soul says the temple is 29 km (20 minutes) from its resort. PS Hotel's page shows no pool or restaurant details, so ask before you rely on either.

Which hotels are in Saraburi city?

HOP INN Saraburi and Leelawadee Resort Saraburi. HOP INN says it is on Phahonyothin Road before the Mittraphap interchange; Leelawadee gives an address in Talingchan and lists 75 rooms. Neither gives a distance to the train station.

Is Saraburi a day trip or an overnight stay?

Both work. Our getting-there guide says official and travel sources put the town centre about 100 to 108 km from Bangkok, and Leelawadee's site says about one hour by car. Staying over helps if you want the temple early, the waterfalls in the morning or the floating-train season in the cool months.

Which hotels are in Kaeng Khoi?

Four: The Soul, The Bua Boutique Resort, Panngern Panthong Inn Resort and Naam Ma Laew Thi Chaom Resort. They suit travellers with a car who want the temple, the botanical garden or the cave carvings. The Soul is the most upscale; Panngern Panthong lists distances to the waterfalls and the dam.

Which hotels are at Muak Lek?

Mela Garden Retreat Cottage and Tipchewa Resort. Mela Garden says it lies between Pak Chong and Muak Lek and shows a Nakhon Ratchasima postcode on its contact page. Tipchewa is on Mittraphap Road and names the Thai-Denmark dairy farm as a nearby sight.

Why are some well-known resorts not listed?

We only list hotels whose own website we could open and quote. Muaklek Paradise failed a certificate check, Raikusuma's pages returned HTTP 404, Sir James answered HTTP 403, and Green Love Garden's page returned almost no text. 108 Hotel's site reads as an hourly-room hotel, so we left it out. This is a checked list, not a full one.
