Nakhon Sawan is a stopover for most travellers heading north, and Wikivoyage says the town sees few tourists and English is not widely spoken. A night here makes sense if you want the old Pak Nam Pho riverside, an early start at Bueng Boraphet, or a base before Mae Wong. This page sorts seven hotels into three areas of the city.
Use the quick answer above, then the area table. We show no hotel prices because rates change with date and room type, and the booking buttons open a search for your own dates. We have not stayed at any of these hotels. Every card shows facts taken from the hotel's own website, checked on 17 October 2026 after a separate verification pass, with the source linked. We could only find seven hotels with an official website we could read, fewer than the nine or ten we aimed for, so this is a checked list, not a complete one (see the FAQ).
How to choose
- Decide what you want to be near. For the old Pak Nam Pho riverside, Sawan Park and the hill temples, look at the first area: P.A. Ville says it is next to Sawan Park and B2 Nakhon Sawan Premier lists the Pak Nam Pho Museum at 0.2 km. For malls and the bus terminal, look at the mall side: GO Hotel lists the bus terminal at 5 minutes. For a quieter room a kilometre or two out, look at the third area.
- Check the distances each hotel gives, and expect them to use different starting points. B2 Nakhon Sawan Premier says the centre is 2.0 km away yet lists the Pak Nam Pho Museum at 0.2 km. Treat every figure as a hint and open the map pin before you book.
- Bueng Boraphet and Mae Wong are for people with a car. GO Hotel gives 20 minutes to Bueng Boraphet by its own estimate, and the park office of Mae Wong is in Kamphaeng Phet province (see our Mae Wong guide). The railway station is about 7 km in a straight line from the tower, so allow a taxi from the station.

B2 Nakhon Sawan Premier lists the Pak Nam Pho Museum at 0.2 km, Pak Nam Pho at 0.8 km, the View Tower at 3.3 km and the Chao Pho Thepharak shrine at 5.8 km. Grand Hill Resort & Spa says it is in the city centre area, 2.0 km from the centre, with free Wi-Fi in all rooms, a car park and room service, and names Wat Woranat Banphot and Pak Nam Pho as nearby.
Choose it if: You are driving and want a larger hotel with parking and a restaurant.
Skip it if: You want to walk to the riverside.
Mistake to avoid: Do not assume the centre is the start point; neither page says where it counts from.

Day trips and planning from Nakhon Sawan
We have no registered tour listing for Nakhon Sawan yet, so we show no tour prices. The button opens Klook's own search, which currently earns us nothing, and results may be limited. Ask your hotel first, since some arrange day trips themselves.

Getting to Nakhon Sawan
Most visitors reach Nakhon Sawan by train, bus, van or car. Our Nakhon Sawan guide records that the 12Go Bangkok to Nakhon Sawan page showed 33 departures on 16 October 2026 for 18 October and 2 travellers, but we could not load that page ourselves, so check the operator, departure point and last service before you book. Before you book
- Open the map link for the area and then check the hotel's exact pin. A neighbourhood name can cover a wide area.
- Check the final rate with tax, payment timing, cancellation terms and what the room includes.
- If arriving late, confirm the check-in method and the last transport that actually runs.
- P.A. Ville Hotel's site is a short Thai page with no room sizes or distances, and The Paradiso's site is in Thai, so ask each hotel about room details.
- The railway station is far from the centre, so do not book on the assumption that you can walk from the station.
- If you plan to come for the Pak Nam Pho Chinese New Year procession, book early and ask the hotel how close the procession route is that year.
FAQ
Where should first-time visitors stay in Nakhon Sawan?
For the old centre, Pasan and the hill temples, stay in the Pak Nam Pho area. HOP INN, B2 Nakhon Sawan Premier and P.A. Ville are listed there. The cards show what each hotel says on its own site, and the area table shows the distances they give.
Is there a hotel near the railway station?
None of the seven hotels on this list says it is next to the station. GO Hotel lists the railway station at 15 minutes by its own estimate. The station is about 7 km in a straight line from the city tower (our calculation from map coordinates), so plan a taxi.
Which hotels are near the bus terminal?
GO Hotel lists the bus terminal at 5 minutes. Wikivoyage places the bus station west of the city centre, so hotels on the mall side are closest by that guide.
How far are the hotels from Bueng Boraphet?
GO Hotel lists 20 minutes by its own estimate, and B2 Nakhon Sawan Premier lists Bueng Boraphet at 5.8 km. HOP INN names Bueng Boraphet as nearby without a distance. Check the map pin.
Do I need to stay overnight, or is Nakhon Sawan a day trip?
Wikipedia puts the city about 238 to 250 km from Bangkok. A night helps if you want a dawn start at Bueng Boraphet, the evening at Pasan or a day in the Takhli area. For a simple stopover on the way north, HOP INN calls itself suitable.
Why are there only seven hotels here?
We only list hotels whose own website we could open and quote. Chateau de Bear, Bansuan Resort, The Infinite Resort, Kiangbueng Resort and Garden Suite Resort showed only booking-site listings, EZY INN's guessed domain failed, and the Asia Hotel Group site has no Nakhon Sawan hotel. This is a checked list, not a full one.
Can I stay near Mae Wong National Park?
We have not checked hotels near the park. The park office lists accommodation inside the park (houses, a tent site and rental tents), and its office is in Kamphaeng Phet province. See our Mae Wong guide, which gives the contact numbers the Department of National Parks publishes.
